The wait is almost over. Learn more about CM|IP @ NAB Show 2021 panel debate topics

The wait is almost over. There is now less than three months to go before the start of NAB Show 2021, to be held from 10-13 October in person in Las Vegas,

If the prospect of seeing industry colleagues face to face at one of the media and entertainment industry’s largest events isn’t already exciting enough, there’s more. Connected Media|IP (CM|IP) is now releasing details about the different panel debates it is hosting at NAB Show 2021.

CM|IP panel debate topics have been thoughtfully crafted, covering all of the hottest trends related to OTT, including subscriber management, monetisation, ad insertion, live news distribution, CDNs, cloud playout, edge caching, and 5G. In a previous newsletter we shared the first three debates topics. Now we are unveiling the next three session themes:

  • Panel Debate 4: ‘Show me the money! Monetising the consumer in the Internet TV age’ on Monday 11 October, 14.00-14.40:
During this in-depth discussion on monetisation options, experts will discuss ad-tech, subscriber management and TV technology. The session will also look at best practices for winning, retaining and growing loyal subscribers while increasing profitability, and will touch upon key ad-insertion technologies, programmatic advertising and new innovations like exchanges and geo-location..
  • Panel Debate 5: ‘The future of live news distribution on Monday 11 October, 16.20-17.00:
ENG is undergoing a major evolution that increasingly melds satellite, cellular, wireless, IP networks, cloud, and SaaS within innovative new workflows. This panel will bring together participants from the technical, journalistic and delivery communities to explore where we are today and what options the future holds.
  • Panel Debate 6: ‘Meeting the demand for a Content Everywhere future’ on Tuesday 12 October, 11.00-11.40: As traditional pay-TV operators start to compete on both price and content depth against new OTT rivals, exploring new and efficient ways to cost effectively deliver content is key to success for both camps. This panel debate session will examine the current market, looking at what trends are emerging from the consumer side and discussing the strengths and weaknesses of legacy and emerging technologies including 5G. It will also look at what the future holds in terms of advanced content distribution strategies.
