The biggest event in our industry is weeks away…get plugged into our Panel Debate lineup at CM|IP @ NAB Show 2021
|
NAB Show 2021 is on track to be one of the biggest in-person events in our industry, with more than 540 companies from 31 countries having already committed to exhibit. It’s guaranteed to be a whirlwind of excitement as companies showcase the latest innovations surrounding OTT, including IP, virtualisation, monetisation, globalisation, remote production, and more.
We’re just two months shy of the show. NAB Show 2021 will officially kick off on 10 October. With Las Vegas beckoning, Connected Media|IP (CM|IP) is counting down to the main event with new details about the panel debates we’re hosting. (Check out our previous newsletters for the themes of our first six sessions.)
And without further ado, here are the last three panel debate topics to be discussed at NAB Show 2021 within our CMIP theatre:
-
Panel Debate 7: ‘The TV industry’s new normal – lessons learned from the pandemic’ on Tuesday 12 October, 14.00-14.40: The impact of COVID on the pay-TV industry has been profound with the curtailment of live sports along with social distancing rules for scripted TV and film significantly reducing content output. However, the enforced lockdown has seen a massive rise in OTT consumption and forced broadcasters to look at new ways to produce content. This CM|IP panel discussion will look at challenges faced and overcome, examining the lessons learned that will help shape a more resilient industry able to withstand future disruptions.
-
Panel Debate 8: ‘Turning to the Cloud to reduce TV service Capex and Opex’ on Tuesday 12 October, 16.20-17.00: To ensure profitability, content providers are examining innovative approaches to every part of the delivery chain, from production to service delivery. During this CM|IP panel, industry experts who have worked on some of the most interesting projects and technologies will discuss how cloud can help broadcasters and service providers deliver more cost-efficient services that can scale to meet demand.
-
Panel Debate 9: ‘Going global: how to successfully launch international TV services’ on Wednesday 13 October, 11.00-11.40: Across the globe, the TV revolution is allowing audiences to discover exciting new content from around the world. However, launching services in a new country can be a daunting experience with an element of risk. In this CM|IP panel, attendees will get guidance on the key considerations of launching internationally, with real-world examples from around the globe that offer insights into the technical, cultural and regulatory issues to be overcome in order to make a profit.
